My uncle in Ontario has good things, but critics say the evil. Others, in England, with mixed feelings. But the wicked are mortal!

As for the question of taxation, shall pay to the Canadian average, only about 31% of the taxes, and the average family with 2 children pays about 21% of the taxes. This includes income tax losses, GST, PST, HST, property taxes, etc. Only 10% of GDP on health care in Germany dedicated.
What is the quality of our health is not perfect, but good. Sometimes there are long waiting times (up to one hour), a doctor during flu season, and if you have a condition not critical, you have until May to see a specialist or to have an operation but the essence of primary health care in Canada is that if you have a life-threatening condition (think cancer, heart, etc.) that are placed on top of the list, and do not expect a treatment.
Canada has a shortage of skilled health professionals, not from lack of budget, but the lack of well trained professionals who live in the country. For example, where I live now, there is a high demand for nurses, but the waiting list to enter the School of Nursing, 3-4 years, and coalleges not mass production people quickly enough. It's more a question of the retirement of baby boomers is now something else. It is like any other profession (teaching, business, etc.) with age. If you have a higher percentage of people who go the number of people in the workforce retire, you will always have bottlenecks.
